Chiropractic Care
There is a broad range of chiropractic techniques that we use to adjust our patients. These include Gonstead, Diversified, Thompson Drop, Pierce, Activator®, Sacro Occipital Technique® and Webster Technique. No matter what your concern is, we’ll work together to find the technique that works for you. We have instruments and drop piece tables for a gentler approach.
PEMF Therapy
As a complement for your healing process, we use PEMF therapy to aid in the body’s natural healing process. In chronic pain and acute injury cases, there is low cellular function, which leaves the damaged tissue in a state of inflammation, pain and dysfunction. PEMF therapy can aid in the body’s recovery process by supporting healthy joint and cartilage function, as well as supporting healthy bone structure.
Spinal Decompression
Spinal decompression is an extremely safe alternative treatment for patients with severe low back pain due to disc damage, stenosis and many other treatable conditions. This method of treatment uses a spinal decompression table where the patient lies on his or her back while the machine uses a pulling motion, thus creating a vacuum along the sponge-like discs of your spine. The table uses resistance to relieve pressure in the spine and ultimately provide relief. In fact many of our patients fall asleep during their treatment.
Nutritional Counseling
More now than ever, we are exposing ourselves to chemical rich, and nutrient depleted foods because of GMO’s, nutrient depleted soils and food processing. Because of this, we use two different types of nutritional recommendations in our office. Once a patient is screened for nutritional deficiencies, we make basic recommendations the patient may want to follow to speed up the healing process. We call this feeding your injury.
For those patients that maybe more difficult, we have a more in depth nutritional program called NRT, nutritional response testing. Nutritional response testing is a non-invasive system of analyzing the body in order to determine the underlying cause of ill health. When these are corrected through safe, natural, nutritional means, the body can repair itself in order to attain and maintain more optimum health.
Rehab or Functional exercises
When your body stops moving properly, it is important to be evaluated to see if rehab or functional exercises will help. We don’t just assume everyone needs rehab. We actually use a functional exam to evaluate and isolate your problem. We isolate the muscles that support the spine and that have been damaged from acute or chronic injury so that you only have to stretch the muscles that are tight and strengthen the muscles that are weak. Some patients have tried physical therapy before only to be disappointed with the results. If you don’t fix the underlying problem before you begin to strengthen the muscles then you are simply strengthening the problem.
Massage therapy
Massage therapy is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. When rolling or working on tight/sore muscles you may experience discomfort or pain. If you’re new to myofascial release it can be uncomfortable at first but once released the patient’s response to treatment maybe quicker and longer lasting.
Rock Tape
Rock Tape is the world’s best kinesiology tape. We use Rock Tape for rehabilitative taping. It facilitates the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. Taping can speed healing by slightly lifting skin away from the sore or injured tissues, improving blood flow and lymphatic drainage.
